Each Dark Blade knife is handmade from high quality, high carbon steel. This means that all blades are made from steel coming from controlled production
which in turn means that grain structure is as optimal as it can be. During the production process, heating of steel is as limited as possible in order to
maintain that grain structure, which is later important for strength and edge stability.
Steel is cut to length and profiled on the grinder. No templates or jigs are used, which results in each Dark Blade knife being completely unique.
Yes, there are many Dark Blade Wolves and Bears. But each of them is unique.
Dark patina is created by using food safe procedures. You can use your Dark Blades in kitchen or in the woods. Cutting onion, potato, tomato, cheese or any other
food is completely safe.
We believe wood is beautiful as it is. Nontheless we try to choose variety with interesting "character". Olive tree, walnut, wenge, zebrano, plum, ..., whatever shows character,
we will use. Each handle is safely put in place with peening and epoxying using the highest quality materials.

Outdoor Dark Blade knives are created for maximum performance when venturing into great outdoors.
We craft 3 standard versions, each with careful selection of steel and geometry. We do not believe
in "one size fits all". That is why Dark Blades Bear is different from Dark Blades Wolf. With Bear you get that extra chopping and splitting power, while maintaing
balance and fine cutting ability. Wolf is on the other hand lighter, but still powerfull enough for some heavy duty usage. Raven is made for those who really want their
knife to be super light, yet still sharp like razor.
